Tim really is an awesome husband. He has the ability to make me laugh so hard that I actually turn bright red and have tears rolling down my face! But, he has another ability that sneaks up on me from time to time and catches me off guard, reminding me of why I love him so much.
One of these sneak attacks came the other day when Tim and I were talking with mom. We were talking about young couples marrying today and specifically the young women who have been led to believe that to submit to their husbands is beneath them. They don't understand that humility makes us great in the eyes of God. They fear the authority of God, The Church, and their own beloved. They refuse to submit. This was the general topic being discussed. As usual mom and I did most of the talking and Tim did more listening. It's not that he hasn't anything to say, rather he ALWAYS listens carefully and speaks only when necessary. I, on the other hand have diarrhea of the mouth! Anyhow, mom and I were saying how sad it is that women do not feel called to have children any more and in some cases seem to even be repulsed by the notion...there was a pause in the conversation when Tim said this: "Ya, they say 'yes' on their wedding day and then spend the rest of their married life saying 'no' ". He had just condensed ten minutes or so of conversation into one sentence! A beautiful sentence! I loved it! I still do! I love him. Thank you Jesus for giving me a man who will gladly say "yes" with me, to You, for the rest of our lives!
